You may have heard or read elsewhere on this site that founders of Krampus LA and many of the members of the troupe were involved in starting the annual SantaCon event.  It’s true.

Many of us were members of the now defunct Cacophony Society, the group that started Santacon in 1994 and hosted the first LA Santacon a few years later. However, as that event grew to take on an independent life and different character, nearly all original participants lost interest and withdrew.

The Krampus Los Angeles Krampus Run troupe will adhere to high standards of costume detail and public performance, modeled primarily on traditional European practice and appearance.  Though we encourage the sharing of resources and ideas, each member will be responsible for his own suit and mask, whether crafted from scratch or assembled from purchased items.

Despite these strict requirements, as of September 2014, we currently have 25 troupe members and several more currently working on costumes.
